Tobermory Campsite lies only 1 mile from Tobermory, about a 20 minute walk.  On arrival at the small roundabout at the top of the town, take the road signposted 'Dervaig (B8073) and you will see us on your left after you have passed the Island Bakery premises.  The campsite combines the advantages of being in the countryside with the benefits of close proximity to the town.

Tobermory has pubs, restaurants, a Co-op supermarket, bakery, Clydesdale Bank and even an award winning fish & chip van!  It is also a good starting point for boat trips and wildlife excursions.

A self- service launderette is available for public use in the new Harbour Association building in Tobermory. This is located in the main car park.

Please do not forget to book your ferries well in advance if you are arriving via Oban.Contact details for the ferry company can be found on our Travel page

We are a small, friendly campsite situated beside a picturesque burn and woodland.  Facilities include:

  • Small toilet block with a Ladies and a Gents toilet.
  • Shower block with a Ladies and a Gents Shower cubicle and a Ladies and Gents toilet.
  • 1 x Ladies & 1 x Gents shower - Free of charge
During peak season (July and August) queuing is unfortunately inevitable
  • Hairdryer
  • Dishwashing sink
  • We have spaces for tents, touring caravans and camper vans, including hard standing.
  • Car parking (No vehicles allowed on the grass)
  • Electric hook-ups are also available but space is limited and booking is essential.
  • Payphone
  • Dogs welcome - must be on leads at all times in the campsite

As we are a fairly small campsite and do not have marked out pitches it can be difficult to reserve areas and tent pitches are, therefore, on a first come, first served basis. Reservations are only taken for stays of 4 nights or more ( deposit of  non-refundable).  July and August are very busy months and, if possible, it is advisable to arrive by lunchtime/early afternoon in order to secure a pitch.  7.45pm is the latest arrival time except by prior arrangement.

Tobermory Campsite is the closest campsite to 'Balamory' - very important for our younger campers!  (Balamory is the children's TV programme filmed in and around Tobermory).

Mobile phone reception is patchy at the campsite.  However, there is a good signal in Tobermory and Vodaphone probably has the best coverage on the island.

The campsite is served by a private spring which is filtered and UV treated. Every tap and outlet on the Campsite and Caravan Park is fully drinkable water.

We are members of the Mull Eco Charter and strongly encourage recycling, please could all campers help us to do this by sorting their rubbish into plastic, glass, tin and paper and placing in the bins provided. Thank you.
